Hello hello, bienvenue sur mon blog BD/illustration, Sibylline.fr !
Tout d’abord, je m’appelle Sibylline Meynet, j’ai 20 ans et je suis française. Certains le savent, d’autres non, mais j’ai grandis dans un environnement artistique où les livres (surtout les BD) ont toujours pris beaucoup de place dans mon quotidien, puisque mon père est auteur de bande-dessinées. Il a donc su me communiquer sa passion pour la littérature et tout ce qui touche à la communication visuelle.
Aujourd’hui, je me suis découvert une très grande fascination pour cette époque ultra-élégante qu’est la période 50’s-60’s. C’est grâce à cette sophistication, que je retrouve dans les films Hitchcockiens ou encore dans de vieilles publicités, que je nourris chaque jour mon travail. N’ayant pas connu ces années-là, j’aime idéaliser les fifties et je m’amuse beaucoup à mélanger les techniques artistiques modernes avec ce graphisme rétro si chic.

En 2011, mon tout premier artbook « Retroactivity » est sorti aux éditions Horizon BD. C’est un petit recueil de 32 pages couleurs qui regroupe mes illustrations, sketches et strips BD de ces derniers mois ! Vous pouvez vous le procurer sur le site en cliquant sur l’image à votre gauche :)

Hello hello, welcome to my illustration/comic strips blog, Sibylline.fr !
First of all, my name is Sibylline Meynet, I’m 20 and I’m French. I’ve grew up in a very artistic environment and books (especially comic books) have always been a huge part of my life because my father is a comic artist ; he knew how to share his passion for literature and his open-mindedness for everything graphic.
Today, I am very influenced and inspired by this extremely elegant period that are the 50’s-60’s. Thanks to this sophistication, that I find in Hitchcock movies or in old advertisings, I can fuel my artworks every day.
Not having known these years makes me want to idealize them, and I’m having lots of fun to mix nowadays modern artistic techniques with this so-chic-and-retro graphic style.

In 2011, my first artbook “Retroactivity” has been released with Horizon BD editions. This is a collection of 32 pages that contains these last months’ illustrations, sketches and comic strips !
